Tarali Fouzdar, a 30-year-old woman from Fouzdar Para, has carried the art of weaving within her for many years, an inherited skill she practiced quietly at home. What was once just a part of her daily routine has now grown into a meaningful source of livelihood. Through the support of Dharitri Multipurpose Cooperative Society, Tarali Baido began improving her weaving techniques and exploring better designs, which helped her strengthen both her confidence and productivity. Recently, she wove 12 Chador Mekhala sets, returning 6 to the society and earning an income of ₹3000 (6 × 500). This achievement is more than just financial, it reflects how her long-held skills, when nurtured with guidance and dedication, can open new doors of opportunity. Tarali Baido’s journey shows how traditional knowledge, once refined and encouraged, can become a sustainable path toward self-reliance. Her story inspires many women around her to believe that what they have known for years can become the foundation of a brighter and more secure future.
