Empowering Rural Women through Eri Silk Skill Development and Handloom Innovation
<p>The new Handloom Common Facility Centre (CFC) was inaugurated under the Skill Development Training programme focusing on Eri silk yarn spinning, reeling, and weaving of designer Eri products using Jacquard handloom technology. Implemented under the ONGC CSR project, this initiative aims to strengthen the traditional handloom sector while promoting advanced weaving techniques. The programme is expected to generate sustainable livelihood opportunities by actively engaging rural women artisans, enhancing their skills, and enabling them to produce high-quality, value-added textile products for broader markets.</p><p> </p>
